Oasis Beauty Salon in Kraków offers various types of gel nail extensions, including their removal.
Improper removal of nail extensions is one of the common reasons for myths about the harm of nail extensions. Tearing off or chipping artificial nails is not allowed. It is not recommended to use any tools that could accidentally remove the upper layer of the natural nail along with the material.
Classic gels are removed only with filing. The first steps are similar – you need to completely shorten the length and remove the top layer of the coating. Next, our specialists use medium-grit bits, gradually removing the material from the nail surface. It’s important to work at not too high speeds, making light, interrupted movements to avoid overheating the nail plate. When a thin layer of gel remains on the nails, it is carefully removed with a file with a grit of 180 or higher.
Remember, when extensions are removed correctly, the natural nail is not damaged or weakened. Understanding this and knowing the proper nail removal technique, our salon’s manicure specialists will show clients that the material does not harm the natural nails – they remain the same. On the other hand, careless removal leads to unpleasant, and sometimes irreversible, consequences.
